My name is Dave de Ruiter (born 1991, Utrecht, The Netherlands), and I’ve been performing in circuses since I was 11. From juggling and fire breathing to animal training, I’ve done it all while touring across the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, and Denmark.

But it wasn’t until I stepped in for renowned clown Francesco Bruno in Belgium, who had fallen ill with Covid, that I truly found my path. In that moment, I discovered clowning wasn’t just a performance it was a way to connect, to create, and to live fully through my art. Today, as Clown Jimmie, I pour my heart into every show, sharing joy, laughter, and the pure magic of the circus with every audience I meet.
